What We Do
Frank Kenyon Centre
Awareness and action to support community conservation and island sustainability.
Hands on projects with community involvement to aid in conservation and preservation of our ecosystems and the diverse species that they encompass.
FRIENDS is playing a part in Abaco's recovery, assisting with disaster response, being a leader in sustainability, and finding ways to incorporate recovery and resilience in all of our programs.
Education leads to understanding, empathy, and appreciation. Our education programs are designed to give local students a deep connection to their environment and to help build environmental ambassadors.
We take "be the change you want to see in the world" seriously. We are working to make our campus a sustainability showroom to assist the community in their journey to be more sustainable.
We believe research is a key component in well-informed environmental education and community conservation. FRIENDS works to help ensure that research conducted in Abaco benefits the local community.
