We are (hopefully) launching this site on September 1st, which is a day that will forever continue to have meaning for Abaconians as the anniversary of Hurricane Dorian. We stand in solidarity with our countrymen of Abaco and Grand Bahama; cognizant of the struggles that we all have, and continue to, face. FRIENDS has seen its share of loss...our Education Centre destroyed, materials and equipment damaged, and so many hours of possible education and conservation that we can't get back. However, we choose to see the silver lining and are pushing forward: working to adapt in the face of adversity and build resilience because of it. We sincerely thank you for your support through this most difficult phase, and we hope that you will continue to stand by us as we find our way to a better future.
