Annual Best Kept Yard Competition
The Best Kept Yard Competition began on December 6 & 7, 2007 for the communities of Dundas Town and Murphy Town. The competition was intended to ignite contestants’ pride for their environment and to beautify their community for neighbors, locals and visitors alike to admire.
Area homeowners were encouraged to beautify their yards and to use native plants. Participants were judged on beautification, cleanliness, use of native plants and landscape design. Each year the event has been a huge success and organizers are pleased with the local participation as well as the business support for this worthy project.

Adopt an Area
We are asking that volunteers, whether you are a business, individual, family, civic/community group, school or church, help us in our effort to keep our Abaco clean by Adopting An Area. When you adopt an area you are agreeing to take care of it as if it were your own, making sure it is kept clean and maintained.
Where can you adopt?
Anywhere you want! You can pick an area that is special to you or one that is convenient for you to continuously monitor.
