The Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organization (BMMRO) has been studying marine mammals in The Bahamas since 1991. Abaco’s population of Common Bottle-nose Dolphins is one of the healthiest in the world. Research on these dolphins provides an important baseline for the rest of the world and also gives indication to any change in the conservation status of Abaco’s marine mammals. By contributing to the Adopt A Dolphin Programme you are helping to further research of and education about marine mammals. At the same time you are receiving a unique adoption package about an Abaco dolphin.
