Started in 2004, the conference is scheduled to occur every two (2) years. It is a goal of this conference to provide a forum for the networking of researchers and the sharing of scientific information in and around Abaco. We hope to encourage more research in the area for educational purposes and to stimulate the use of these findings in local environmental management decisions. Researchers are invited to submit contributed papers and posters on research findings in natural history and environmental science of Abaco and The Bahamas. Papers and posters will be accepted based on their technical merit and contribution to our knowledge of species, populations, communities, ecological processes, management practices, conservation initiatives, education models or policy issues. If you are interested in participating, please request an application by sending an email to: olivia@friendsoftheenvironment.org, downloading a form from this site, or call 242-367-2721 for more information.
